Finding Beauty Friday.

I was so honored when Aimee from This Darling Day asked me to host Finding Beauty this week for her. Photography, natural beauty, and captured moments… yes, please!

For this link-up, I’m sharing two captures from a recent adventure at a local farm. My guy and I spend each weekend visiting new farms to humbly accept advice from farmers (who are all too gracious to share their knowledge).

All of last week’s entries for Finding Beauty took my breath away. It’s hard to narrow it down to three favorite photos when there’s such a talented group of bloggers taking part in this link-up. On behalf of Aimee, thanks to all of the lovelies who linked up last week!

My favorite photography from last week was…

Paige’s flowers creeping through wooden walkways

Leesha’s sun and shadow filled moment

finding beauty friday - just leesha / from: belongwithwildflowers.com

Emily’s sunflowers found during a summer walk

On behalf of Aimee, thank you again to everyone who participated! We are both looking forward to seeing what you share this week. Please only link to photos you have personally taken or have permission to use. Posts do not have to be from today to be linked and you can link as many recent posts as you like (within reason). We won’t check up and see if you’ve visited other blogs, but please play nice and do so!

These are beautiful photos! It’s always great to get first hand advice from people who are great at what they do. Loving this link up, thanks for hosting!

    • http://belongwithwildflowers.com/ Caitlin

I couldn’t agree more, Cheryn! I’ve always worked in “business” settings where competition is the norm. It’s amazing to see how giving + generous most farmers are with their knowledge + passion. I soak it up as much as possible!

Thanks for joining in on Finding Beauty. Hope you have a lovely weekend!

  • http://tshirtjeans.blogspot.com/ Nicki

Congrats on hosting this week :) Love those farm pics.

    • http://belongwithwildflowers.com/ Caitlin

Thanks so much, Nicki! I was really excited when Aimee asked — not only to host, but also to help her take a social media vacation! Thanks so much for linking up. I had already commented on your post from earlier in the week, but that picture + those words are beautiful.

Your flower photo is just so pretty!

    • http://belongwithwildflowers.com/ Caitlin

Thank you Stephanie! I have to start getting better at writing down what variety of flowers I photograph. I get so caught up in the beauty, I forget to even look!

  • http://writemeg.com/ Meg

Your farm photos are gorgeous! I have to say: how you’ve embraced your dream and are continuously working toward running your farm is so inspirational to me. Can’t wait to see where the future takes you!

    • http://belongwithwildflowers.com/ Caitlin

Thanks so much, Meg! Your comment really just made my day. Sometimes I wonder if it seems odd for me to post so much about farming/agriculture when I don’t own a house/land yet. So hearing that my documented journey is inspirational is so validating + reassuring :)

Thank you so much for including me in your roundup! :) Beautiful shots, all around. I’m hoping to link up tomorrow!

My pleasure! Love that shot :) Looking forward to your possible link-up tomorrow!

It was such a lovely moment captured, Leesha!

Thanks so much for picking my picture from last week! It made me smile. Your photos of those flowers are beautiful!

    • http://belongwithwildflowers.com/ Caitlin

I swear I could have picked every single one of your photos from that nature reserve post. The views are unbelievable! You have quite the eye for nature photography :)

First time I’ve encountered ‘Finding Beauty Friday’ and that linkup thing. Naturally I had to try it and see how it worked.

Of the great pics in your blog posting, if I had to chose one as a personal favourite, it would be the flowers growing through the boardwalk.

p.s. Have just added Belong with Wildflowers to the blogroll on my main blog. It’s a great blog Caitlin. Well done. …!

    • http://belongwithwildflowers.com/ Caitlin

So glad you took part in the link-up, Ray! And I completely agree with you – the flowers growing through the boardwalk is gorgeous. If you haven’t yet, I’d recommend you head over to Paige’s blog + see the rest of her post from last week. The photos are STUNNING: http://www.momentsforthejourney.net/find-beauty-friday-shorelands-nature-preserve/

Thank you so much for adding me to your blogroll… that is so kind of you! I’m so glad you like what I’m doing here… it’s very much appreciated :)

Rats! I was so busy posting other stuff I forgot to do FBF! So I had to reach back. Oh well, next week I’ll be all over it.

Also, your weekend adventures have absolutely inspired me. Tomorrow at the farmer’s market I am going to work up the nerve to actually *talk* to someone about what they do instead of poking about and daydreaming. Maybe I could even arrange a visit!

    • http://belongwithwildflowers.com/ Caitlin

So looking forward to heading over + seeing which entry you chose for FBF :) And thank you so much for your sweet comment! When I first started “putting myself out there” with farmers, it was nerve-wracking, but overall the experiences have been SO positive. Sometimes they are too busy to take the time to explain growing practices, how they got into farming, etc., but I’ve always found they’re very upfront when they are too busy + will tell you a better time to come back for a chat. Good luck at the farmer’s market!

Thanks for linking up, Lauren! Your photography is a gorgeous addiction to the link-up :)

Thank you, Jennifer! Yes, that photo of the wildflowers growing through the walkway is simply stunning. @momentsforthejourney:disqus is a very talented photographer!

Wow, so lovely. That greenhouse looks amazing…and that pink flower is gorgeous!!

    • http://belongwithwildflowers.com/ Caitlin

Thank you, Tania! I give so much credit to farmers who get all their work done, while also keeping the area clean! It’s no easy feat :)
