{ Link Love is a feature that appears sporadically on Friday’s. Link Love is a collection of articles, blog posts, photography, and inspiration for living green and seeking simplicity in life. }

Before some of us pull out the sweaters and start making pumpkin everything, there are still a few weeks left of summer (hopefully). As my tomatoes are finally getting a pink hue and peppers are popping up like wildfire, it’s one of the first summers I’ve actually wished for more heat and sun.

So while I know we’re all eager for snuggly blankets and hot cocoa out of warm themoses, let’s embrace the remaining few days of this beautiful summer. This weekend, spend some time outdoors and soak up that sun… we’ll all be sorely missing it in just a few months!

To start your weekend off right, I’ve found some living green inspiration that I’d love to share…

♥ Have you grown your own sweet corn, or purchased some from a local farmer’s market this season? Get ready for the perfect mouth full of summertime taste with this recipe.

♥ Living green isn’t just about growing your own food. Learn how one blogger cleans without chemicals.

♥ The internet has a hardcore crush on succulents; did you know you can grow your own easily from clippings? Learn how to propagate your own succulents!

♥ It’s peach and cherry season in some regions of the world! Find a local pick-your-own farm + make a whole day of fun by baking a fruit crostata from scratch!

♥ Organic, natural, cage-free, humane, etc. There are so many words on our food labels it can be downright confusing! Learn from one homesteader what certified organic means.

♥ Interested in preserving your own food, but not sure where to start? Here’s 10 items you should never refrigerate.

♥ If you’ve been around my blog for more than a hot minute, you know I’m a big honeybee lover and advocate. We can protect our pollinators by growing lush gardens and staying away from these toxic chemicals.

♥ Flowers and herbs are beautiful and fragrant, but they also have powerful healing properties. Test your knowledge of herbal preparation + see if you’re ready for making homemade medicine!

What are your plans for the weekend?

    Thanks for stopping by my blog You can actually water bath can most tomato recipes. I water bath can whole tomatoes. They have to be processed longer than in a pressure canner, but since I don’t have a pressure canner ts my only option. This recipe for the corn salsa is so tasty!

      That is so great to know about water bathing tomatoes! I’ve always ended up freezing tomatoes because I thought they required a pressure cooker. I’m excited to can the tomatoes from my summer garden! Can’t wait to try out your recipe :)

    I have a crush on succulents right now, too! Really, I just love the fact I can ignore them for a while as I’m chasing the kids around. I should definitely try to “multiply” the ones I have! I have a few lonely windowsills. =)
